Designed
On the carpentry side of Studio 142, I build custom benches, stands, and other items. Each item is individually hand-crafted from either vintage or fresh lumber, stamped with my chop, and numbered with a copper plate.
The pieces are constructed to retain an individual character, including knots, saw marks, and imperfections. They are created to reject the machine perfection of mass-produced modern furniture. The hand-crafted beauty of these structures is designed to last a lifetime, and be passed down through the generations.

The piece I build for you is designed and constructed to fit your specific needs. Within the limits of the wood and laws of physics, I can create almost anything.
Don’t limit yourself to the expected. A 7-slot rack for external hard drives is the perfect blend of antique wood and modern technology. Perhaps a bright cottonwood stand for your iPhone–complete with an integral charging cable. Or a rich, century-oak business card holder as a subtle reminder to your clients of the stability and durability of your business.
Certified
Each piece comes with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authority listing the type of piece constructed for you, the size, and the week of construction.
